Welsh Border Mounted Brigade

The Welsh Border Mounted Brigade was a Territorial Force brigade already in existence at the outbreak of the war. At the outbreak of the war it was based at Shrewsbury. In Sep 1914 the brigade went to East Anglia where it joined the 1st Mounted Division.

1/1st Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry. 04 Aug 1914 - Aug 1914. Split up to provide cavalry for the:
42nd Division - A Squadron.
58th Division - HQ, B, C and D Squadrons.
1/1st Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry. 04 Aug 1914 - Sep 1914. To the 1st Mounted Division.
